Clinton recieved 83 percent of the votes in the September 2006 primary.
Recent politcal activity includes a call for investigation into hiring practicies of the Pentagon in Iraq in which more qualified biligual applicants were rejected over Republican loyalists. She also recently spoke at the NAACP's 2006 convention on voting and civil rights. During her term, she formed the Senate Manufacturing Caucus to help empower America's manufacturing sector.
